Slovenia vs Scotland 2012 International Friendly 19.30 GMT at SRC Bonifika Stadion

Scotland last played Slovenia seven years ago in 2005. They won the world Cup qualifier 3-0 with goals from Darren Fletcher, James McFadden and Paul Hartley. Scotland Coach Craig Levein is keen to get some games under the team’s belt before the World Cup qualifiers against Serbia in September. A win against Sloveniawould put the Scottish team in good spirits for the matches to come in 2012.National coach Craig Levein has named a 24-player squad to face Slovenia including first time call-ups for Blackpool midfielder Matt Phillips and versatile Celtic defender Charlie Mulgrew. Sunderland goalkeeper Craig Gordon is included for the first time in almost a year as he returns from injury.

The Slovenia national football team is the national football team of Slovenia and is controlled by the Football Association of Slovenia. The team played their first match in 1992 after the split of Yugoslavia in 1991.

Slovenia was a surprise qualifier for UEFA Euro 2000, when they beat Ukraine in a playoff. The team then drew with Yugoslavia and Norway, and lost to Spain 2–1. Slovenia achieved another major success two years later, qualifying for the 2002 World Cup, this time defeating Romania in a playoff. They did not lose a match in their whole qualifying campaign, recording six wins and six draws. However, they did not score any points in the group stage of the finals.




The Scotland national football team represents Scotland in international football and is controlled by the Scottish Football Association. Scotland are the joint oldest national football team in the world, alongside England, whom they played in the world's first international football match in 1872. Scotland maintains its own national side that competes in all major professional tournaments with the exception of the Olympic Games, as Scotland is not a member of the International Olympic Committee. The majority of Scotland's home matches are held at the national stadium, Hampden Park, with friendly matches sometimes hosted at club stadiums.



Spain vs Venezuela 2012 International Friendly 20.30 GMT at La Rosaleda

World and European champions Spain will begin their Euro 2012 build-up with a friendly against Venezuela on February 29, the Spanish football federation announced.
"The match will take place in Spain, very probably in Malaga," said spokesman Paloma Antoranz.The game in February is set to be the last before coach Vicente Del Bosque reveals his squad for the Euro 2012 finals in Poland and Ukraine in June and July.

The Spain national football team represents Spain in international association football and is controlled by the Royal Spanish Football Federation, the governing body for football in Spain. The Venezuela national football team is the national football team of Venezuela and is controlled by the Federación Venezolana de Fútbol. It is nicknamed La Vinotinto (The Burgundy), because of the traditional burgundy color of their shirts.

Venezuela is the only national team in CONMEBOL to never have qualified for a World Cup. Often Venezuela would go through entire qualification tournaments without recording a single win, although this has changed in the last two qualifying rounds. Until 2011, their best finish in Copa América was fifth in their first entry, in 1967.




When playing at home in official games they usually rotate between three stadiums: the Polideportivo Cachamay, in Puerto Ordaz; the Estadio José Antonio Anzoátegui, in Puerto La Cruz; and Estadio Pueblo Nuevo, in San Cristóbal. In friendly matches they tend to rotate between the rest of the stadiums in the country.

Norway vs Northern Ireland 2012 International Friendly 19.45 GMT at Windsor Park

O’Neill looks to Carroll and overseas(PA) Tuesday 21 February 2012.New Northern Ireland manager Michael O’Neill has said that former Manchester United goalkeeper Roy Carroll is under consideration for a return to the international fold. Carroll fell firmly out of favour under Worthington but has expressed a desire to represent his country again under the new regime.He is currently at Olympiacos, saving a penalty in the UEFA Europa League with his first touch for the club on debut. He was not in O’Neill’s 24-man party for the 29 February friendly against Norway but could reappear in the future.

The Northern Ireland national football team represents Northern Ireland in international association football. Before 1921 all of Ireland was represented by a single side, the Ireland national football team, organised by the Irish Football Association (IFA). In 1921, the jurisdiction of the IFA was reduced to Northern Ireland following the secession of clubs in the soon-to-be Irish Free State, although its team purported to remain the national team for all of Ireland until 1950, and used the name Ireland until the mid-1970s. The Football Association of Ireland (FAI) organises the separate Republic of Ireland national football team.
